How to setup email on Outlook 365 desktop app

  1. Open Outlook 365 and navigate to "Info-> Add Accounts"
  2. Click the "+ Add Account" (Plus) icon and add a New Account

  3. Enter your email address and tick "Let me set up my account manually". Click “Connect” button to continue. 
  4. From the “Choose account type”, select “IMAP”
  5. For the Incoming Mail Settings, provide the following information:
  6. Usernameyouremail@yourdomain.com
    Password****
    Servermail.yourdomain.com
    Port993
    Security TypeSSL/TLS
    AuthenticationNormal Password
  7. For the Outgoing Mail Settings, provide the following information:
    Usernameyouremail@yourdomain.com
    Password****
    Servermail.yourdomain.com
    Port465
    Security TypeSSL/TLS
    AuthenticationNormal Password
  8. Click “Connect” button to continue.
  9. Enter the email account password again for the outgoing mail server and click “OK” button.

    (Note: Save this password in your password list is optional.)

  10. Account setup is complete and you may now use IMAP for your email account.
