The following article explains how to create a new email account through the GeIT Hosting webmail. New accounts may be created by the root user only. Once the account is created, users can begin sending and receiving email.

Before starting, you should have received an email from webmaster@yourdomain.name to your personal registered email with our services. If you did not receive such an email, kindly do contact our technical support team to request for it.

Please follow the step below.

  1. Browse to http://mail.yourdomain.name and logging in using your ADMINISTRATOR account stated in the email sent.

  2. Click on Domain Settings.

  3. Click on New button.

  4. Type in the following
    Username: Jackie.Chan
If you want your email to be Jackie.Chan@yourdomain.name.

    Password: !l0v3jC
The new password must meet the following guidelines:
    > Does not match your username
    > Contain any special character such as #, @, &, etc.
    > Is at least 5 characters long

    Confirm Password: !l0v3jC
The confirm password must be the same as Password.

Force password change at next login
If you tick this box, the user will be forced to change new password upon logging in for the first time. If they forgot their password, they need to contact you to reset the password for them.

SAVE to confirm your new user creation!

  5. Once you have successfully created your new user, you might need to change the Mailbox Size Limit MB. By default, our system will provide 200MB of email storage for every new user creation. We recommend that you increase this to 500MB or more if you wish to store your email content on the server.

SAVE your settings to finalize the creation or close the browser.
